WRX (STI) intake? nuff said : Injen Technology IS1200P Polished Short Ram Intake System : subaru usa
I purchased this intake because i had to replace my APS one with the injen one for clearance with the injen intercooler. It fits like a glove and actually its a pretty nice piece.
Pro:
-Comes with all hardware that is not cheaply manufactured
-Filter is good quality and i recommend the Injen prefilter to keep it cleaner longer
-The polished pipe looks good and the welds are very neat and defintaly not done by hand. No weld slag on internal surfaces of the pipe to impede air flow.
-MAF sensor fit perfectly in supplied hole no problems using factory screws to hold it in
Cons:
- Not really a big issue but mounting the intake with the tab welded to the pipe is somewhat difficult. The tab installs under the pressurized resevior for coolant and a factory installed nut screws on between the two pieces. Its a tight fit and requires some filing and of the tab to get it to fit. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.
Its a definate good buy and the price it isn't too bad. A must if you have the Injen intercooler for the STI no other intake will fit.
